I'm no fan of Eros, but these days Dommes don't have much choice. I don't tour and I'm very low volume. If I did tour, I'd have to deal with them.

If I have found EROS to be simple to use and have contacted Dommes because of their ads on EROS and then sessioned with them.... is the site really that bad? Or did it facilitate something that benefited all three of us?

Simple for the client, yes, but not for the other side. Eros is poorly run. Sw'ers get banned all the time, for little to no reason, and have their money stolen. They constantly deny ads and keep the money for them. They also randomly up charges with no notice. They've had major leaks. They work with the FBI and there's been a few reports of sw'ers being banned from entering the US after being on Eros. If you really start looking into them, you'll see nothing but complaints.

That's all you needed to say. Working with the FBI. They have no business working with the FBI. Hopefully all dommes stand together in unity and stop advertising on that site. I think we have a good start with a lot of ads going down since this virus started.

Agreed. Eros died with SESTA/FOSTA.

Back in the day, as a predominantly UK based Domme, it was never a good place to advertise. Dudes would phone late at night with "yeah, you workin' now?". This site never took off as a place for Dommes to advertise in London.

But as someone who toured internationally it was thee place to be (US and Canada). With ads just on Eros and Backpage, I could make bank without blinking an eyelash.

But in summer of 2018, I axed my advertising with them.

As I don't publish my mobile number anywhere on the internet and relied on the link to my website, mid tour they changed their policies. They took away the outbound link function without notice and when I challenged this, they simply cut and pasted some legal jargon saying it was their perogative to change policy at any given time without notice.

I am surprised any Pro-Dommes still pay to advertise there?!

It used to be pretty great. Now they have a ban on linking websites and are incredibly fussy about photos/text while refusing to provide any guidelines. Ads often take ages to approve, which creates issues for touring Mistresses. They got raided by the feds a while back and there are some serious privacy concerns. Also, I don't appreciate an ad site that shuts down with no notice occasionally and can't be bothered to alert anyone to what's going on when they know full well that many of their advertisers depend on them and are going to worry they got seized.

I appreciate that it must be difficult to run an ad site in a post-SESTA/FOSTA world but Tryst and Dickie Classifieds seem to be doing a much better job.

Hi Domme Lynx. I have heard a few others say they like Tryst. I've had an ad up for about 3 months and have gotten zero response. Maybe it's a geographical thing.

In Atlanta Eros is king. I do a pretty good job of tracking where clients come from and for me it's about 50% Eros and 50% organic internet searches. Everyone here advertises on Eros and if you don't you are going to miss out on a ton of business.

They are a royal pain in the ass and have no respect for the people that pay them, I agree. I would love to tell them to shove it, but they are the only game in town currently.

I like Dickie Virgin - plus they are great people but I seldom get a client from there. I wish more people used them.

I havn't used Eros in a very long time. It's disheartening to hear they're still king. Hopefully times will change and new competition will show up that treats us better.

Mistress Ayn, out of curiosity I checked Tryst and it is pretty slick, good pics and descriptions, but is not intuitive at least for me. It took a bit to find you on the site. Users automatically go to escorts.

Dickievirgin, which I've known for years, was a heck of a lot easier to navigate. I found you and Mistress Samantha within a minutes. Just my two cents.

As clients, we're always going to use the easiest system. Eros is tough to beat when it comes to that and is usually a first place I start. I ocassionally will check Tryst.link to make sure I haven't missed anyone, but in general I find them to have more lesser known/escorts with whip type dommes, but those are generally pretty easy to spot, especially if they don't have their own independent website.
