The reverse of this actually happens to Dommes a lot. We call it ghosting. A sub drops of the face of the earth and won't return communication and one is left only with their worst imaginings and it is a very helpless feeling. Note that if I ever drop off the face of the earth Mistress Ayn, it’s because I’m dead.
