Maybe you now have a better understanding about what it's like for us grown women to constantly be referred to as "girls" or "miss". It's not a recent trend. It's been this way for years. Obviously, you are talking about the use of “boy/girl” in everyday use and not in the scene. I personally believe the usage has morphed into current use from the idea that generally, women are concerned about aging and men are concerned about being experienced, particularly in their perception of being attractive to the opposite sex. I see many instances of women saying, “Don't call me 'ma'am,' it makes me sound/feel old.” Usually men don't mind being called 'sir' as they feel the maturity and experience implied by its use makes them more attractive than being youthful. The use of 'girl' or 'boy' being offensive is mostly interpreted by context and/or intent. Generally the term when used to refer to adults implies attitude as well as actual age. By context or intent, it can be used to negatively imply low status and/or immaturity. It is in those cases, being offended is justified and correction is appropriate. I correct men when they do this and they are almost always totally taken off guard.
"I'm not a girl, I'm a grown woman." This is more often than not met with laughter. That may be due to your assertion of the obvious—they know you're a grown woman. Just the statement 'I'm not a girl' is enough to admonish the reference and they have to be outright rude to use it again. I feel your “ Please don't call me 'miss'. That's an honorific meant for young girls." comment also lectures them on the obvious and dilutes your objection. I would suggest something like, “I prefer Ms., thank you” would get the message across. The 'thank you' implies they will comply. I hope my comments aren't inappropriate as I don't know the situations you've encountered. They are just honest thoughts I had when I read your post. As to the use of 'good boy' in the context of the scene outside of a 'mommy' kind of scenario, I think it again depends on context and intent. It is condescending and a reflection of status. When I first encountered it, I really didn't like it. As time went on, the humiliation and reinforcement of the lower status in a F/m relationship became a turn-on.

I don’t necessarily mind being called “boy.” It’s the “good” I object to.

When I was 23, the first domme I saw was 40. She called me just “boy,” because I looked even younger and that’s how she thought of me. I loved that. But “good boy” I don’t care for. Much prefer bitch or slave. Of course, I’m 60 now and boy just doesn’t sound right,

COVID-19 lockdowns definitely changed the game for in-person vs virtual sessions. If a sex worker is trying to make a true living, that passive income is a lifesaver, over waiting for a new sub (who actually follows protocol) to book an in-person on a regular basis.
It's the sign of the times.
Also, this statement "I don't like "good boy," is curious to Me. Professional D/s is all a fantasy being sold. If you prefer something more humiliating and you're paying for the sub/membership, I would think it would just be a matter of letting the Domme in question know your preference and what type of fantasy you're looking to experience. I realize the OG topic was generalized, but based on what you said about subscribing, this seems more specific.

Echoing what Mistress Tissa said about younger generations, I'd like to add that the infantilization/Mommy Domme has grown exponentially in popularity. Men of a certain generation can't get enough of it.
I read an article about the growth in popularity, and basically it came down to needing reassurance and a strong "Mommy" role to balance out the chaotic and unpredictable future given current events, especially for mens 'roles', in a world where women are choosing to be single rather than deal with them-- (cue the Male Loneliness discussion) and the definition and state of "masculinity" in today's world!
I generally only use the term if it's specifically asked or fits the scene. I'm not a true "Mommy Domme" but I do enjoy it in extreme humiliation or role plays if the chemistry is correct. --(them crying and begging Mommy not to call them that again!)
More often, it's a "good girl" when I have someone crossdressed or a "good boy" when a pup does his tricks correctly. I've noticed this, Mistress. Lots of younger guys looking for Mommies. I feel badly actually but I get it. Thanks for sharing your insight here.

Oh, of course; I'm aware of this. But it's not so much women worried about aging being attractive, it's men being worried about women aging and being attractive. So, they have trained them to be feel more comfortable with being degraded and infantilized as an exchange for desirability and assigned worth. I agree. Calling women you don't know "girl" and "miss" is both individual and group-level social reinforcement of what I mentioned above. "I'm not a girl, I'm a grown woman." This is more often than not met with laughter."
That may be due to your assertion of the obvious—they know you're a grown woman. Just the statement 'I'm not a girl' is enough to admonish the reference and they have to be outright rude to use it again.
I feel your “Please don't call me 'miss'. That's an honorific meant for young girls." comment also lectures them on the obvious and dilutes your objection. I would suggest something like, “I prefer Ms., thank you” would get the message across. The 'thank you' implies they will comply. No need for any tutelage as I was oversimplifying. How I actually respond -- kind, curt, The Wrath Of The Bitch Goddess -- depends on the nuances of the situation. Kind people who obviously have never thought about this and really mean to be polite are treated kindly, perhaps receiving not a "lecture" but "education", sometimes in the form of a playful joke. Men who who obviously need to be put in their place are introduced to the Bitch Goddess. I'm reasonable and fair, you know. I hope my comments aren't inappropriate as I don't know the situations you've encountered. They are just honest thoughts I had when I read your post. I think you mean well, chuck. You don't know me and are making assumptions on the little I've written here. I know that. No worries.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I'm reasonable and fair, you know. I'd take reasonable over fair.
