I might agree with you about that. We'd had the maid knock on the door in the past. Always startling, but not the end of the world. In that case, we'd just tell her the room was occupied, she'd go away and we'd make sure the "do not disturb" sign was on the door. In this case, however, there was either no knock, or he knocked and then opened the door without waiting for an answer. Either way, he was suddenly inside the room which was quite alarming. It was during the day, either late morning or early afternoon. It wasn't the maid either, I remember it being a male member of the hotel staff. We had the impression he thought the room was vacant. It was several years ago, so my memory of the event is a bit sketchy, but that's how I recall it now. It was deeply unsettling, but nothing bad came of it. I was able to get back into the right head space and enjoy the rest of the session, after my heart stopped pounding.

They're supposed to knock before entering a room. They should whether there's a "do not disturb" sign or not. They should also be absolutely sure the room is vacant before just walking in. And it would be very easy to do that by, oh, just looking at their own systems.




Why would a male member of the hotel staff just be walking into rooms? He's not cleaning, right? What was his reason for coming into your room? (I'm not expecting you to answer. Just posing the question.)



I'm sorry it happened to you. It would be very unsettling to me. You assume you have privacy...and you actually don't.

Where we are as a society, with surveillance and data sharing and entitlement to every details of our lives they can extract or predict, I wouldn't feel comfortable running scenes in a hotel room.

The cameras are a concern for me with airbnb since it's a person's own house but I've also heard of hotels having them. I agree some hotels keep an eye on coming and going. And most of the time in my experience with hotel sessions the domme wants to meet in the lobby which is just awkward and completely abnormal imo. If a friend was visiting me I would never meet them in the lobby just to then go to my room.

I’ve sessioned in hotels a fair amount. I would say overall, I prefer a dungeon but there is something fun about playing in a hotel.

A few things I’ve found help:

I greatly prefer when I book the room versus the Domme. It just gives my anxiety ridden brain less to worry about.

If possible book a no key card required for the elevator hotel, of course this can be impossible to know if you’ve not stayed there before but it does save the awkward and dreaded lobby meet.

Also, I find more upscale hotels are better for sessions. I think they just are a bit more lax and don’t pay as much attention to what you are doing. You’d expect the opposite but in my experience upscale is better for sessions

Bigger is better. Costs more but if you can swing a suite it changes the experience.

Put the DND sign up before the Domme gets there. It’s much easier to forget in the moment. And as others mentioned flip the privacy bar after she arrives

I agree, I have a Dungeon, and a private space, available depending on my subs interests, and needs. I prefer to conduct sessions at these locations. I will accept hotel sessions, however they must be at a 4star or higher hotel. I will not accept a hotel session that centers around heavy corporal, due to the sound involved.

For me it depends on the partner. It is perfect with some I know, I would not do it with somebody I do not.

I like them. Obviously not for loud play. I enjoy the feeling that everyone around is going about their business, totally unaware that I am being quietly tormented. It helps that my fantasies run more to domestic and not to dungeons. For me, subspace lasts longer/better when I don't have to hit the road immediately after. I dwell in the room for a few hours...all subbed out.

There was one hotel where the maid would invent excuses to knock on the door. She would offer more towels, or soap, etc. I believe she was angling for a tip. Once I figured it out, I mentioned her scam in my review. Never happened again.

In all my years of hotel stays (mostly vanilla) I only had the staff open the door once. I had deployed the latch thing, so it prevented complete opening. The staff person apologized and said he'd been misinformed that the room was vacant.

It was with a apartment, but a hotel room would work too. The unfamiliar location, with a Domme you know and trust, but doing a multi Domme session where you are locked in your predicament/objectification device/appliance/tape/shrink wrap, usually also with some sensory obstruction, by your Domme and then Dommes you don't know join her. It's just the right amount of anxiety and edge of fear which breaks through the barriers.

I saw a thread on Reddit recently about hotels using third parties to install listening devices that are connected to cloud LLMs. I kind of dismissed it as Reddit paranoia/fear mongering but a quick search show many hotels are integrating AI into their properties. Some aren’t in the guest rooms, some are on demand activated, but some are always on and in your hotel room.

It does change my thinking about using hotel rooms in the future for sessions.

That's concerning... to put it mildly. I wonder if playing music can disrupt that, I make it standard practice to always have music on during hotel sessions.
I typically use hotels when traveling, as Dungeon rentals are rare these days.
