What don't you like about it?

Is it just that your crowd/followers aren't there?

I don't think the audience is there yet, it has potential. In my opinion, it should be used as a backup since everyone is practically shadowbanned on twitter.

I have an X, BlueSky, Threads, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, AND Pinterest. I freakin' hate it all and have such burnout. I find very little "social" about social media. Sure, I am trying to sell my services, but it's all people trying to sell something or get your attention for engagement.

Maybe I'm old, but I like it here for actual conversations. I can't even imagine getting any business from posting here. As for Bluesky, that's just talking to myself. The rollout in Europe was too late, and by the time it arrived, no one cared.

Fwiw and I’ve probably said this before. I read your posts here and follow you on Twitter and as a result if I ever find myself in Paris with the opportunity to session I would definitely see you just based on that. And I’d love to visit Paris again too.

Also fwiw I have seen a number of Dommes due to their posts on Max and the engagement we had going there. I’d guess others have connected similarly but I don’t really know.

I think Bluesky is dead to most people. I have a vanilla account there and never check it. There was a burst of energy to get off of Twitter/X a while back, but most people I know are still on it and their Bluesky, Mastodon and Threads accounts are more dormant. For me, it's just one too many platforms to keep up with, and everyone I follow -- kink and otherwise -- is still on X.

I'm old too -- older than you, I think! -- and I like the long-form conversations here as well. I can't predict yet whether this place will pick up and become lively or whether threaded message boards are things of the past. A younger generation is more in sync with the micro-conversations on IG and such, but I usually feel those are conversations among people who already know each other.

One area that I do think is really lively is the world of podcasts. There are so many good conversations with dommes and people in the scene out there. Masocast is great, although a bit less active these days. There's Authentically Kinky, which, if you can get past the host's persona, has very good guests. And then there are dommes like Eva Oh who are trying to become their own podcast brand. I'd love to hear you on, for example, Masocast talking about being an expat domme in Paris.

I would be happy to see you! I hope it happens.

Until then, it'll be nice to chat here. It seems the toxicity of Max and X hasn't spilled over here.

I did something with Masocast back in 2010, I think, and a vodcast with Nick Tanak during the pandemic.

I do spend a lot of time trying to think of what project will take my energy next. It won't be a podcast, but something similar—something more substantial than Instagram or X posts.

Somehow I missed those -- will go back and listen. And I look forward to whatever that next project is.
