I've seen this in videos and read about it in BDSM fiction but almost always involving a female sub. In reading about it's origins as a torture technique in the Spanish Inquisition or even during the US civil war (riding a rail) it seems it was often used on males.

Wondering if any subs here have experienced it or if any Dommes have used one on a sub? I'm a huge fan of predicament bondage and this seems like it could be particularly wicked.

Well yes, of course. Most BDSM devices that take their inspiration from actual torture are heavily modified to reduce severity and limit the chance of actual injury.

Do you have a link to any information on Elise Sutton's horse? The links contained in the forum comments I posted are quite old and no longer working. Google brings up references to her books but nothing explaining the design of her version of the horse and how she employed it on a male.

I don't have any further information. It was over a decade ago that I became aware of this. I brought it to the attention of a very versatile mistress I was sessioning with at that time and tried to get her to fashion one but she demurred.

I suspect getting that the setup for the procedure needs to be carefully calibrated for the specific victim. Sutton was a female supremacist advocating lifestyle Femdom. In that context this device was effective but for prodommes the need to recalibrate for each client would be a serious drawback.

I recently saw something (on Reddit I think) that suggested a ball stretcher locked around the balls with a line pulling them back between the legs (tied off to a collar) can make the horse as effective for use on males as females.

I know it would certainly keep me on my toes!
